Nothing Quite Like It!
It was the theme of last month - NEW!   There's something about that simple, little word that intrigues us.   Why it even brings a smile to our face . . . new clothes, a new hair style, a new book, a new recipe, a new friend . . .

Maureen answers all of your questions: What is S.H.O.T.? Who should train? What sizes to buy? and many more.

The 60-Day Challenge
by Maureen Martone, April 10, 2006
The “60 Day Challenge” is an online training program created to challenge women to begin, stick with, continually progress, and log achievements while training with the Kettlebells:  Cardio & Fat Loss for WomenDVD.  It is a wonderful asset to help women achieve their goals - not just for 60 days, but beyond.

When Cardio Just Isn't Enough
by Maureen Martone, April 10, 2006
Women are surprised to learn that there is a wonderful alternative to traditional cardio.  In fact, they are delighted to discover that they can combine their cardio and strength-endurance training in short, very efficient training sessions.

Warrior Diet Works for Me!
by Maureen Martone, March 1, 2006
When I heard about the Warrior Diet workshop in NC, I was eager to attend.  Ori Hofmekler, the author of The Warrior Diet, is a living encyclopedia.  I soaked in all the information I could, and discovered the missing elements and faults with my current diet.  I made only two changes and saw immediate results.

Power Rope Training with John Brookfield
by Maureen Martone, February 1, 2006
Who could imagine a total body strength routine and an intense cardio workout could be done with something so unassuming as a rope?  Yes, that’s right – shaking a big, long rope that resembles that which you’d find on the deck of a ship.  Not only will it provide you with a total body workout, but also for your entire family too.

T.A.T.S. visits Punch Kettlebell Gym
by Maureen Martone
Anthony Diliglio, RKC and owner of Punch Kettlebell Gym in Providence, RI, graciously gave us the pick of dates to host our Tactical Athlete workshops.   We chose July 23 & 24 and prayed for good weather.  Well perfect weather is what we got!  A good thing to – because we were hoping to take the Hand-2-Hand Kettlebell Drills workshops to the park down the street.  We were able to load up the “Punch” hummer with kettlebells, and off we went.

Mass State Police Tactical Athlete Seminar
by Maureen Martone
Shortly after returning home from the trip to the Northeast, I overheard Jeff telling a friend on the phone, “I’ve been busier than the proverbial one-legged man in a butt kicking contest!”   While a little crass, it certainly was the truth.  The Mass State Police barracks in Revere was the fourth of eight stops on our Tactical Athlete tour.

110% - No Less!
by Maureen Martone
Just how dedicated are the zealous clients at Camp Discipline?  Dedicated enough to train without air conditioning in 95 degree extremely humid conditions – and loving it!  Dedicated enough to endure Real’s two-hour “Torture” class – without a complaint!  Dedicated enough to take time off work to attend a Kettlebell seminar on a weekday.   It was an inspiring atmosphere.

Power Behind the Punch - For Women?
by Maureen Martone
Why would a woman ever be interested in a product called Power Behind the Punch:  Kettlebell Conditioning for Boxers?  What in the world do women have in common with any kind a fighter, let alone boxers?  Nothing, you may say.  I think differently.

Russian Kettlebells Hit Mainstream America -
by Maureen Martone
Although Jeff is more accustomed to slinging around kettlebells in open fields in para-military environments, he agreed to present in a different type of venue at the American Fitness Professionals & Associates’ conference at Ocean City, MD, May 6-8, 2005.  He had no idea he’d enjoy the weekend as much as he did!
